We were served by Janice who was so exceptionally sweet and attentive the entire time we were there!! She was so accommodating and gave us really great service and this added to the experience, especially because the food was phenomenal. We ordered quite a fair bit but our personal favourites were the chicken karaage and the Dragon roll. Will definitely be back and would recommend everyone to go!

Great quality fish, amazing chicken and overall good food. Service and atmosphere is very pleasant as well, stumbled upon a time when no one else way dining at the restaurant so enjoyed some quiet time with my friend. Highly recommend getting the cold matcha tea as well, delicious!

Really good food at an unassuming little place we stumbled across looking for lunch - the previous 5* reviews brought us in. Delicious miso soup, spicy edamame and crunchy salmon sushi rolls, highly recommend. Very loud instrumental music if you like that kind of thing!

The sushi plate is a stunning combination of rolls, showcasing both traditional and fusion elements. The rolls with creamy topping and avocado look fresh and inviting, while the other roll is drizzled with a variety of sauces and garnished with crispy toppings, adding both visual appeal and textural contrast. The presentation is inviting and playful, with a thoughtful layout of ginger and wasabi. The ramen bowl is equally impressive. With a rich, amber-toned broth as the base, it’s topped with crispy fried toppings that add a hearty twist. The soft-boiled egg is perfectly cooked, with a gleaming, almost molten yolk that promises a burst of umami when mixed into the broth. Overall, this meal seems like a well-balanced experience between light sushi and rich, comforting ramen—perfect for a satisfying night out me and my sister love it sooo much

WOW!! Just had the most phenomenal meal at YUME, a hidden gem in Leytonstone that I didn’t know existed until I stumbled across the reviews on google, and I’m so glad I did. We decided to eat in, the service was excellent and the menu spanned two a4 pages which was really impressive - many options if you’re a veggie too! We had the gyoza, crispy chicken bao buns, salmon dragon rolls, chicken yakiudon & the most incredible sliced beef I’ve ever tasted (still thinking about it!). Every single dish was easily 10/10, all freshly prepared and easily the best Japanese food we’ve ever had in London! Honestly don’t think twice about ordering/eating in, we’re already planning our next visit!

Delicious food. Reasonable cost. We got donburi salmon teriyaki and veg curry. Reasonable portions. From the pictures I thought the crockery might be in plastic containers but the food was served in very tasteful japanese ceramics which makes a difference to me to the dining experience. Very delightful pretty surroundings. We were the only ones there, seems like leytonstone is pretty quiet for dining. They are not properly appreciated here! In central London I'm sure they'd be packed. We were there from 6.30-7.30pm or so. There were 2 deliveries collected whilst we were there and 1 guy who came for a take away. Seems more popular for take aways which is a shame as it's a lovely looking restaurant.

Great food, fresh and extremely tasty, we won't hesitate to come back. Such a nice gem locally for authentic sushi.

This is hands down the BEST sushi I've ever eaten. Absolutely delicious, tons of flavour, presented beautifully. Really glad this has opened so close to where I live - no need to travel or hit the Japan Centre for our fix. Reasonable price wise too. Decor is classy, service is attentive and recommendations are really good. Phone ran out so I can't even share all the beautiful dishes we ate... you'll have to go! Highly recommended.
